The company Color Line is considered to be the largest ferry company for passengers in Norway and one of Europe’s leading ferry companies. Color Line was founded in 1990 in Oslo (Norway) when two ferry companies decided to join their forces and work together (Jahre Line and Norway Line), they merged and Color Line was founded then. Color Line operates ferry crossings to and from Norway, Denmark, Germany, and Sweden.

Types of vehicles accepted on Color Line
It is possible to board ColorLine ferries with a car, motorbike, van, camper van, bicycle or as a pedestrian.
The vehicle may also be equipped with a towed element (trailer, caravan, etc.) provided that this is declared at the time of booking.
Facilities on Color Line ferries
Cabins
ColorLine offers 2 to 5 berth cabins with single or double beds and optional sea views. Cabins also have their own private bathroom as well as a desk and a seat.
Suites
For a more luxurious trip, ColorLine offers 5-star suites, which are more spacious and have a sofa, flat-screen TV, minibar and free Wi-Fi access.
Cabins for PRMs
ColorLines ferries have cabins for people with reduced mobility (PRM) that are spacious enough for a wheelchair and have adapted sanitary facilities.

Restaurants and bars
On ColorLine ferries, there are numerous à la carte restaurants, self-service restaurants, snack bars, bars and cafés where passengers can eat and relax with a drink throughout the crossing.
Shops
ColorLines ferries feature large boutiques for shopping with spectacular sea views. The Duty Free shops offer perfumes, sweets, alcohol, tobacco, wine and sweets at great prices, as well as a wide selection of everyday products to ensure passengers have a pleasant journey.
Internet on board
All ColorLine ferries are equipped with WiFi on board. Internet packages are available for a fee from each ship’s reception.
Travelling with children with Color Line
ColorLine ships are full of activities for children of all ages and teenagers.
During the crossing, they can choose to enjoy the water park with slides and jacuzzi, a video games room, and have fun in the dedicated play areas. What’s more, during the school holidays ColorLine organises extra activities for children.
Baby cots are also available to passengers and are provided by staff on request.
Travelling with pets with Color Line
It is possible to travel on ColorLine ferries with your pet as long as you declare it at the time of booking. Pets can spend the crossing in your car or in the ship’s kennels.

Modification and cancellation of tickets with Color Line
If you have booked your ColorLine crossing on smartferry.com or by telephone with one of our agents, it is possible for us to modify or cancel it according to the conditions applicable to your ticket.
To do this, please contact our customer service department by telephone on 04.65.84.14.13.
If you have made your booking directly on ColorLine website or via another platform than smartferry.com, we will not be able to make any changes or cancellations.
