Ports served in Tunisia

In Tunisia, the ferry company serves the port of Tunis.

Tirrenia has 8 ferries with a capacity of up to 2910 passengers and 1100 vehicles.

The fleet is composed of the following vessels:

It is possible to embark on the ships with a car, a motorbike, a camper van, a van and a minibus.

Vehicles can be equipped with roof or trunk elements (bicycle rack, roof box, etc.), a trailer or a caravan, provided that the dimensions are specified at the time of booking.

Cabins

The ferry company offers double or quadruple cabins with porthole (external cabin) or without (internal cabin) and equipped with single, double or bunk beds. All cabins include a private bathroom, bedside tables, lamps, sockets, sheets, towels and toiletries.

Suites

Suites on the ships include all the facilities of the classic cabins with the addition of a larger living area and a comfortable queen size bed, a bright bathroom and perfumery items.

Cabins for PRMs

The ferry company ships are equipped with cabins adapted for people with reduced mobility (PRM), allowing the use of a wheelchair and including an adapted bathroom.

Cabins for animals

Cabins specially designed for pets are available on the ships. These cabins offer a hygienic environment with an easy to clean linoleum floor and an anti-odour mattress.

Armchair

The ferry company also offers armchair reservations in a private lounge, which is a comfortable and economical option for your crossing.

Restaurants and bars

The ferries offer a range of dining facilities: à la carte restaurants, self-service restaurants, cafeterias and snack bars where you can enjoy your meals and relax with a drink.

Shops

Shopping is possible on the ferries. Shops selling books, newspapers, children’s games, regional products and more are present on every ship.

Internet on board

The ferry company provides its passengers with a Wifi service. The subscription to the Wifi package is done directly on board the ship via your internet browser.

Children’s prices

The ferry company has a special offer for children:

• Children under 4 years of age can travel free of charge
• Children between 4 and 12 years of age receive a 50% discount on the ticket price (excluding taxes and duties)

Facilities for children

The ships have many facilities for children.

A play area with toys, drawing tables and a TV with cartoons is available on each ferry and a range of suitable food and drink is available in the self-service area.

It is possible to travel on the ships with a pet, provided that a suitable ticket is purchased at the time of booking.

Pets are allowed on the outer decks of the ships and in the public areas. They are not allowed in the common areas, armchair lounges and passenger rooms.

For a more comfortable journey with your pet, the ferry company offers pet-friendly cabins.

If you have booked your crossing on smartferry.com or by telephone with one of our agents, it is possible for us to modify or cancel it according to the conditions applicable to your ticket.

To do this, please contact our customer service department by telephone on 04.65.84.14.13.

If you have made your booking directly on the ferry company website or via another platform than smartferry.com, we will not be able to make any changes or cancellations.

The ferry company ships do not have luggage storage on board. It is advisable to leave your luggage in your cabin, or to keep it near you if you are travelling without a cabin.

It is perfectly possible to travel on the ships without a cabin or seat. In this case, you will have a “deck passage” ticket which will only give you access to the common areas.
